33 rows Tissot watch serial numbers and production dates. The Tissot name should be engraved on the bridge, which is flat sheet of metal covering part of the movement. Near the name is a serial number. For example, 2943525 dates the Tissot to 1953. A list of Tissot serial numbers and corresponding dates can be found online or from an authorized Tissot dealer (See References 1-2 and Author’s Expertise).

How to Read Timex Code Numbers and Tell when Your Vintage Timex Watch was Made and the Movement Type
One question I get asked often is, when was my Timex Watch made and what is the movement type? This post will tell you how to read the code on watches produced after 1963 when they started printing a small code on the dial of the watch. Timex did not use serial numbers. If you look at the actual movement, there is most of the time a number and that indicates the movement type. Other than that, you only need to look at the code on the dial to know. The last digits of the code are the year of manufacture. The next two are the movement type. The remaining numbers are the catalog number. Below are some scans from a Timex Service Manual. If you have any questions, please let me know if I can help you identify your watch.
